CONSTRUCTION 6161

DESCRIPTION

The Awards in the Construction Industry programme have been designed for those undergoing training or employed in these areas of work. The programme aims to reflect the global nature of the Knowledge, Skills and Work-Based Competences required across varying Countries.

The programme has three related levels: Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma.

CERTIFICATE (LEVEL 1)
The certificate (about 360 guided learning hours) provides a broad introduction to the theory and practical side of construction for a front-line worker on a construction site.

It is ideal for graduates of Government Technical Colleges and Polytechnic OND Graduates.

DIPLOMA (LEVEL 2)
The diploma (about 360 guided learning hours) provides specialised skills and knowledge in any one of the six crafts covered by this programme at an appropriate level for a person who will be working independently.

It is ideal for Polytechnic HND Graduates, University Graduates (Graduate Conversion Programme) and Construction Workers desirous of advancing their career in the Construction industry.

ADVANCED DIPLOMA (LEVEL 3)
The advanced diploma (about 360 guided learning hours) takes these skills to the level appropriate for a person preparing for or working in a supervisory role.

Suitable for Construction Workers looking to attain Supervisory/Managerial roles in their chosen career path.

ENGINEERING 1155

DESCRIPTION

The Engineering Skills programme has been designed for those undergoing training or employed in this area of work. The programme aims to reflect the global nature of the Knowledge, Skills and Work-Based Competences required across varying Countries.

The programme has two levels: Certificate and Diploma.

CERTIFICATE (LEVEL 1)
The Certificate (about 300 hours of learning support) provides a broad introduction to the theory and practical skills suitable for those candidates starting a career in one of the fields of engineering.

It is ideal for graduates of Government Technical Colleges and Polytechnic OND Graduates.

DIPLOMA (LEVEL 2)
The Diploma (about 300 hours of learning support) provides more in depth theory, practical skills and underpinning knowledge suitable for those candidates committed to a career in Mechanical Fitting, Plant Maintenance, Metal Machining, Electrical Engineering, Fabrication, Welding or Pipework and Electronic Engineering.

It is ideal for Polytechnic HND Graduates, University Graduates (Graduate Conversion Programme) and Technicians desirous of advancing their career in the Engineering industry.

ENGINEERING 2565

DESCRIPTION

The Technicians Award in Engineering programme has been designed for those undergoing training or employed in this area of work. The programme aims to reflect the global nature of the Knowledge, Skills and Work-Based Competences required across varying Countries.

The programme has three levels: Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma.

CERTIFICATE (LEVEL 2)
The certificate (about 300-450 guided learning hours) provides a broad introduction to the theory and practical sides of engineering for a front-line worker or a person beginning an academic training programme.

It is ideal for graduates of Government Technical Colleges and Polytechnic OND Graduates.

DIPLOMA (LEVEL 3)
The diploma (about 600 guided learning hours) provides more practice involving a broader range of skills appropriate to a person who may also supervise, or who is going on into higher education.
